Residential Trash Service Information Page

The City of Aurora has created a webpage on the City of Aurora website that will be updated regularly with information abouQR Code that takes you to the City of Aurora Residential Trash Service webpaget the Residential Trash Service that will be starting at the beginning of July.  This page will  be updated regularly in the months to come with all the information that citizens will need to know about this great service that the City of Aurora will be providing our community.

City-Wide Open Burning Regulations

Beginning July 1, 2023, several new regulations concerning Open Burning will go into effect for the City of Aurora.  Enforcement of these regulations will begin on July 1, 2023.  These regulations will be a change for our community, so we encourage citizens to get familiar with them early!  The biggest of these regulations will be that the burning of household trash will not longer be allowed, but there are other aspects of the regulations that will affect how you may have done things in the past regarding open burning.

 Monthly Bulky Item Collection

Got a new television or mattress/Box Springs and don't know what to do with the old one to get rid of it?  Or that old couch that has been taking up space in the garage?  We have you covered!
City of Aurora Residential Trash Services customers will receive bulky item pickup service as part of their monthly service.  One bulky item per month will be picked up at no cost to the resident. These items are larger items that are usually an extra cost to the customer for the trash collector to pick up; the City has added this service to your regular service with no extra cost to the customer.

Residential Trash Restricted Items

There are many items that cannot be collected by the trash hauler because it cannot go into the landfill.  If these are left in your trash for pickup, your trash WILL NOT be picked up.  Here are common examples, but this is not an exhaustive list.  Doty trash will contact the City Billing  Dept. and we will attempt to contact you and let you know what needs to be done to correct any problem items that cannot be accepted.
