Aurora Downtown Project is a community-driven nonprofit organization focused on making Aurora’s downtown more vibrant and economically healthy. It operates using the Main Street Approach, a time-tested downtown revitalization framework that combines historic preservation, community engagement, design improvements, and economic strategies to bring life back to small-town commercial districts.      

Mission & Vision

• Mission: To preserve, promote, revitalize, and enhance the downtown area.

• Vision: A welcoming, active downtown where businesses flourish and people gather — both residents and visitors.

• It is guided by a local volunteer board that includes community members and a city liaison.

• The group also conducts community events, supports local business promotion, and hosts meetings to involve residents in downtown planning and improvements.
